MÖBIUS: BUILD YOUR JUNKER

MÖBIUS

Build Your Junker

<< How Rides Work - - - Upgrade Catalogue >>

Most people on the Rim don’t have the means to buy a top-of-the-line Ride. This supplement assumes you’ll be building your Ride out of scrap sourced from your sh*thole’s local industrial TRASHHEAP. This kind of Ride is colloquially called a JUNKER.
Future supplements may include rides you can BUY, which come with set stats.

GENERATE A JUNKER

Building a Junker is like generating a character. The randomised elements represent the unreliable nature of the parts found at a Trashheap.
Building a Junker takes 1d5 Weeks of Work and costs 2d10 x 500cr (both rolls are made at [+] if any character has the Jury Rigging or Mechanical Repair Skills).
Once those costs are paid, the players follow these steps. Remember, it’s everyone’s junker, so intra-party discussion is encouraged:
  1.  Roll 2d10+25 for Each Stat.
  2. Roll 3d10+10 for Health.
  3. Your Ride starts with 3 Max Wounds, 2 Upgrade Slots and 5 Damage Reduction (DR).
  4. Roll 1d10 for a Flaw (see below).
  5. Choose 2 Different Perks (see below).
  6. Buy Upgrades. (coming soon)
  7. Roll 1d100 for an Accessory.
  8. Give your Ride a Name (or roll one).

WEALTHY BENEFACTOR

WARDENS: Even rigging together a bottom-rung junker can get expensive. For an interesting hook, perhaps a wealthy benefactor needs a team to win a local tourney, and is willing to pay out of pocket to build the Ride. Just remember, nothing’s ever really free…

D10 FLAWS

  1. Fuel-Inefficient. Uses 1 extra Fuel per Race.
  2. Slow Starter. [-] on all Checks on the first Round of a Race.
  3. Unsecured. When Ride takes a Wound, a random Upgrade falls off. Must be found later.
  4. Slippery. Driver gains 1 Stress when they make a successful Engine Check.
  5. Runs Hot. All characters take 1 DMG after every Race Round.
  6. Volatile. When Ride takes a Wound, something explodes dealing 1d10 DMG to all characters.
  7. Obsolete. Completely breaks down after 2d10 Races.
  8. Marked. The Ride contains something that someone is looking for. Someone bad.
  9. Radioactive. All characters’ Stats and Saves are reduced by 1d5 after each Race.
  10. Loud. [-] on Checks requiring verbal communication

D5 PERKS

  1. +15 to Engine.
  2. +20 to Weapons.
  3. +20 to Systems.
  4. +1 Upgrade Slot.
  5. Re-roll Flaw ([+], take either result).
