Build Your Junker
<< How Rides Work - - - Upgrade Catalogue >>
Most people on the Rim don’t have the means to buy a top-of-the-line Ride. This supplement assumes you’ll be building your Ride out of scrap sourced from your sh*thole’s local industrial TRASHHEAP. This kind of Ride is colloquially called a JUNKER.
Future supplements may include rides you can BUY, which come with set stats.
GENERATE A JUNKER
Building a Junker is like generating a character. The randomised elements represent the unreliable nature of the parts found at a Trashheap.
Building a Junker takes 1d5 Weeks of Work and costs 2d10 x 500cr (both rolls are made at [+] if any character has the Jury Rigging or Mechanical Repair Skills).
Once those costs are paid, the players follow these steps. Remember, it’s everyone’s junker, so intra-party discussion is encouraged:

WEALTHY BENEFACTOR
WARDENS: Even rigging together a bottom-rung junker can get expensive. For an interesting hook, perhaps a wealthy benefactor needs a team to win a local tourney, and is willing to pay out of pocket to build the Ride. Just remember, nothing’s ever really free…
